Welcome to the Blind Tiger Bakehouse Blog

Well, hello there, sugar!

What a thrill it is to finally get this little corner of the internet up and running! This here's my very first post, and I'm planning to drop by every Thursday with something sweet to share, so be sure to keep an eye out.

First things first – thank you a million times over for stopping by our page! This little bakehouse has grown by leaps and bounds these past five years, and I couldn't have done it without my customers. Being part of so many wonderful celebrations and events has truly been a blessing, and I'm grateful for every single one.

My hopes for this blog? Well, I'm planning to share cookie tips that actually work, business tricks I've picked up along the way, stories from behind the scenes, and anything else that might help a fellow baker or business owner. Maybe I'll even slip in a recipe or two when the mood strikes!

I'm Megan, owner and chief cookie wrangler here at the bakehouse – though my husband might argue he deserves some credit too! We bring in extra hands during our busiest seasons, but most days it's just me and my mixing bowls. I've done just about everything you can imagine in this sweet business, and if I can save you from learning some lessons the hard way, well, that's worth its weight in sugar.

Between you and me, I'm juggling quite the act these days – mama to five little ones, graduate student, wife, and running every aspect of this company. Some days I feel like I'm spinning plates in a windstorm, but I've learned some nifty tricks to keep everything from crashing down. I promise to give it to you straight here – no sugar coating unless the recipe calls for it! Running a business is tough as nails, but those sweet moments of success make it all worthwhile.

If you've stuck with me this far, you're a real peach! I know this first post was more introduction than instruction, but next week I'll have something with real substance to share. Drop me a line anytime if you have questions or ideas for collaborations – I love hearing from fellow baking enthusiasts!

Until next time, cupcake!
